Placing a Test Order

One thing you probably want to do when you sign up is place a test order to get an idea of how the order flow works with SPP.

Connect your payment account

You’ll first need to connect your PayPal or Stripe account so you can get paid. This is fairly simple — just go into Modules, enable the module you need and click on Settings to configure it.

Set up your order form

Now if you go into Forms you should see a sample order form that we’ve set up for you. Open the form by clicking the view button and note the URL of the form — you can share this with your customers.

Turn off live payments

At this point you could place a test order from another account but you can also go into sandbox mode to place an orders without sending real money. Go into Settings > Payments and turn off Live Payments.

Place your order

Remember the form URL from earlier? It should look something like this:

You can now sign out of the admin account and place a test order using this link.

For PayPal your regular PayPal account will not work in the sandbox mode. So you will need to create a separate sandbox account for testing as described here.

For Stripe you can use the credit card number 4242424242424242 and any valid expiry date for testing.

Important! Don’t forget to sign out of the admin account before placing a test order.
